Section 01
Claybreaker is a trap shooting analytics app designed for competitive shooters. It allows you to log shooting rounds shot-by-shot, track the direction of each clay target, monitor performance trends over time, and receive data-driven insights to support your training.
This Privacy Policy explains how Enclave Dev LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Claybreaker mobile application ("App"). We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
The short version: We collect only what’s needed to make the app work. We don’t sell your data. We don’t show you ads. Your shooting data belongs to you, and you can delete it at any time.
Section 02
When you create an account, we collect the following information:
| Data | Source | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | You provide, or via Sign in with Apple | Account identification, important communications |
| Name | You provide, or via Sign in with Apple (optional) | Personalization |
| Apple User ID | Apple (if using Sign in with Apple) | Unique account identifier |
| Birth year | You provide | Determine account type and age-appropriate features |
| Account type | Derived from birth year | Shooter, Guardian, or Minor classification |
If you use Sign in with Apple’s "Hide My Email" feature, we receive a private relay address that forwards to your real email. We never store plaintext passwords.
Section 03
Claybreaker stores your shooting data on cloud servers using Google Firebase/Firestore:
| Data Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Round information | Date, time, location name, game type, score | Tracking your rounds |
| Shot-by-shot data | Hit/miss, clay direction, station, shot sequence | Detailed analytics |
| Calculated statistics | Accuracy, streaks, trends, insights | Performance tracking |
| Subscription status | Tier, dates, family links | Feature access |
| App preferences | Settings, display options | Personalization |
This data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use cloud storage (rather than device-only storage) to synchronize your data across devices, enable advanced analytics, support family linking and spectator scoring, and protect your data from device loss.
Section 04
Claybreaker uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to understand app usage and improve performance:
| Data Collected | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Usage events | Screens viewed, features used | Product improvement |
| Session data | Duration, frequency | Engagement metrics |
| Device info | Model, iOS version, app version | Compatibility |
| Crash reports | Error logs, stack traces | Bug fixes |
What we do NOT track in analytics: names or email addresses, individual shot results, GPS location, content you type, or any data that identifies a child specifically. Analytics data is aggregated and not linked to individual Minor accounts.
Section 05
Claybreaker uses the following third-party services to operate:
| Service | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication | Account management | |
| Cloud Firestore | Data storage | |
| Firebase Analytics | Usage analytics | |
| RevenueCat | RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscription management |
| Apple App Store | Apple Inc. | Distribution, payments |
These services process data according to their own privacy policies. We have configured these services to minimize data collection, particularly for Minor accounts. We do not use any advertising networks or sell data to any third party.
Section 06
Claybreaker is designed with young competitive shooters in mind. We offer different account types based on age:
| Account Type | Age | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Shooter | 13+ | Standard account for teen and adult shooters |
| Guardian | 18+ | Account for parents/guardians managing young shooters |
| Minor | Under 13 | Account for young shooters with verified parental consent |
Users under 13 may only use Claybreaker with a Minor account that has been created with verified parental consent.
Section 07
Claybreaker complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This section explains how we handle information from children under 13.
What we collect from children:
What we do NOT collect from children: full legal name, physical address, phone number, precise geolocation, photos or videos, voice recordings, or social media identifiers.
How we use children’s information: solely to provide shooting tracking functionality, calculate statistics, link to a parent’s Family Pro subscription, and improve app stability through anonymized crash reporting. We do not use children’s information for behavioral advertising, marketing profiles, or selling to third parties.
Parental consent process: Before a Minor account is activated, we require verifiable parental consent through an "Email Plus" process. The parent is shown a disclosure of what information we collect, enters their email address, receives a confirmation email with a unique verification link, and must click the link to activate the child’s account.
Parental rights under COPPA: As a parent or guardian of a child with a Minor account, you have the right to review your child’s information, request corrections, request deletion, refuse further collection, and revoke consent at any time. Contact privacy@claybreaker.app or use the in-app account management features.
When your child turns 13: you will be notified via email, your child’s account will transition to a standard Shooter account, no new parental consent is required, and your child may choose to subscribe individually or remain on Family Pro.
Section 08
Your data is stored on Google Firebase/Firestore servers located in the United States. Claybreaker uses Firestore’s offline persistence, which means you can log rounds without an internet connection. Data is temporarily stored on your device and syncs to cloud servers when connectivity is restored.
Section 09
We protect your data through:
No system is 100% secure. Please protect your login credentials and device.
Section 10
| Right | How to Exercise |
|---|---|
| Access your data | View in app, or request export via email |
| Correct your data | Edit in app, or contact us |
| Delete your data | Use "Delete Account" in Settings |
| Opt out of analytics | Device Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements |
| Withdraw consent (minors) | Delete the Minor account |
Account deletion: When you delete your account, all shooting data is permanently deleted from our servers, account credentials are removed, and analytics data is anonymized. Parental consent records are retained for 3 years for legal compliance. Deletion may take up to 30 days to propagate through all backup systems. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Section 11
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise CCPA rights, contact privacy@claybreaker.app.
Section 12
If we make material changes to how we collect or use data, particularly regarding children’s information, we will update this Privacy Policy, notify affected users via email or in-app notice, and for Minor accounts, obtain new parental consent if required by law. Your continued use of Claybreaker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated practices.
